"Naomi Sharon’s voice strongly and clearly resonated throughout the Majestic Theater last night as she sang songs from her latest recording. Her rendition of George Jones’ “Why Baby Why” was sung with a drawl that was music to the listener’s ear. She soulfully sang Jr. Walker’s “I’m a Road Runner” and took us all back down memory lane by singing many of the songs that made her famous like “You’ve Got a Friend,” and “Carolina on My Mind.”
Every arrangement from her “Covers” CD was skillfully brought together by using guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. The backup singers were a tremendous asset as they helped bring everything song together allowing Sharon to turn her songs into stories.
I last heard Naomi Sharon in San Antonio about 6 years ago and this was by far her BEST concert ever. I look forward to the next one!"
